The UltraMassage® Lounge is Caldera Spas' full-body lounger hydrotherapy seat and the defining lounger experience of the Utopia® Series. The Lounge is a recline seat that delivers a coordinated multi-zone massage from a single seat position. The UltraMassage® Lounge includes neck, shoulder, full back, calf, and foot jets, working together to deliver a full-body massage while you lie back in a deep recline. The UltraMassage® Lounge is paired with the Atlas® Neck Massage above-the-waterline pillow on every Utopia® model that ships with the Lounge, and the combined seat is controlled through the Advent® LCD Touchscreen. When a Utopia® model is on display, the UltraMassage® Lounge is best evaluated during a test soak.

The Ultimate Hot Tub Lounge

The UltraMassage® Lounge is a full-body lounger seat built into the Utopia® shell. You recline fully and the coordinated jet array targets multiple muscle groups simultaneously:

  • Neck jets at the top of the lounger
  • Shoulder jets flanking your upper body
  • Full back jets along your spine and lower back
  • Calf jets below the seat
  • Foot jets at the lounger's footwell

The Lounge is engineered for a simultaneous multi-zone massage rather than a sequential or point-pressure approach. You settle into the recline and your entire body receives coordinated hydrotherapy across the jet zones above.

This is fundamentally different from the patented Moto-Massage® DX approach on the Hot Spring Spas Highlife® series, which delivers a moving jet that sweeps up and down the back from a stationary upright seat. The UltraMassage® Lounge takes a different hydrotherapy philosophy to the same wellness goal.

How It Works

The UltraMassage® Lounge integrates several Caldera Spas components into one seat:

  • Multi-zone jet array spanning neck through foot, all firing simultaneously when the seat is active

  • Above-the-waterline Atlas® Neck Massage integration on most Utopia® models that include the Lounge, delivering specialized above-water neck and shoulder jets paired with the in-water lounger jets

  • Advent® LCD Touchscreen control integrated into the spa, with optional UltraMasseuse® Panel auxiliary controls on top-tier Utopia® models

  • ReliaFlo® pump platform powering the jets at high HP / BHP ratings for full-pressure simultaneous operation

How UltraMassage® Lounge works

On the Cantabria® flagship, the UltraMassage® Lounge is paired with the UltraMasseuse® Panel, a dedicated auxiliary control surface that lets you adjust the Lounge's massage parameters without leaving the seat. Lower Utopia® models that include the Lounge use the standard Advent® LCD Touchscreen for control.

Which Caldera Spas Have It

The UltraMassage® Lounge is exclusive to the Caldera Utopia® Series, premium tier. Within the Utopia® lineup, the Lounge ships on the four models that include a lounger seat:

Buying Considerations

The UltraMassage® Lounge is a lounger seat configuration. If you prefer open seating (without a lounger), you can stay in the Utopia® tier by choosing the Niagara® or Florence®. Both models carry the rest of the Utopia® hydrotherapy stack (Atlas® Neck Massage, Acquarella® Waterfall, Advent® LCD Touchscreen, EcoTech® Plus cabinet) but without the lounger seat. The trade-off is recline-versus-rotation: the lounger gives one person a deep recline; the open-seating models give multiple people comparable seat configurations and a Cooldown Seat on the Florence®.

The UltraMassage® Lounge is engineered as the finishing position in Caldera's Hot Tub Circuit Therapy approach. The Circuit routes you through multiple seat positions during a soak, with the Lounge as the deep-recline endpoint. If you're reaching for the Utopia® tier, the multi-position approach is often the draw.

The Cantabria® flagship adds the UltraMasseuse® Panel, an auxiliary control surface dedicated to adjusting the UltraMassage® Lounge's parameters without leaving the lounger. Lower Utopia® lounger models (Geneva®, Tahitian®, Ravello™) control the Lounge through the main Advent® LCD Touchscreen.

The UltraMassage® Lounge is the kind of feature best evaluated in person. When a Utopia® model is on display, the Lounge is best evaluated in person, with the Atlas® Neck Massage pillow active and the Advent® LCD Touchscreen demonstrating the seat's full operation during a test soak. The recline geometry and the simultaneous multi-zone jet pattern are difficult to assess from spec sheets alone.

The UltraMassage® Lounge does not require feature-specific maintenance beyond the standard Utopia® routine. Caldera Utopia® uses the FreshWater® IQ Salt System for sanitization (covered in the salt-water care guide) and standard filtration (covered in the filter care guide).
