E-Series Swim Spas by Endless Pools

The E-Series is the premium tier of Endless Pools, the swim-spa specialist brand within the Watkins Wellness family alongside Hot Spring Spas and Caldera Spas. The series is built around Hydrodrive™ Technology, Endless Pools' premium adjustable swim current, paired with a 14-gauge galvanized steel frame, a molded acrylic shell, an optional Underwater Treadmill, UVC + CD Ozone water care, and (on the E2000 flagship) a 2-Zone Temperature Control dual-tank architecture. The E-Series is the elevated design-and-performance tier, engineered for swimmers who want the brand's top current platform paired with a premium spa-zone experience. Four models, E500, E550, E700, E2000, span 15-foot compact through 20-foot dual-temperature flagship. The E-Series is sold and serviced through Seven Seas Pools & Spas.

E-Series at a Glance

What makes the E-Series distinct from the R-Series and X-Series: the Hydrodrive™ current platform, the galvanized steel frame, the 60-amp electrical standard, and (on the E2000) the dual-temperature architecture. No other Endless Pools tier ships with all four.

Who the E-Series Is Built For

The E-Series is built for if you want the most premium Endless Pools swim experience available, the brand's top current platform, premium frame construction, and the broadest configuration flexibility (including the dual-temperature flagship and the optional Underwater Treadmill across every model).

Who the E-Series fits:
  • Serious lap swimmers who want a wide adjustable pace range and a competitive race-pace ceiling, Hydrodrive™ tops out at 1:08/100 yds with 31 pace settings on the E500 and 116 pace settings on the E550, E700, and E2000
  • Households that want a single shell to handle swim + workout + hydromassage without compromising on the swim-current quality
  • Want a galvanized steel frame rather than the wood frame used on the value-tier R-Series, premium long-term durability against moisture and weight cycling
  • Want the optional Underwater Treadmill for low-impact walking and running workouts, or for joint-friendly rehab, available across every E-Series model
  • Dual-temperature if you want hot-tub-temperature soaking simultaneous with a cooler swim zone, the E2000 runs the swim zone at ~85°F and the spa zone at 104°F simultaneously
  • Want UVC + CD Ozone standard water care on the E500 (and equivalents elsewhere in the series)
It is not the right tier if you:
  • Want a lower entry price point, see the R-Series (RecSport®) for the value tier
  • Want a 30-amp electrical install, the R-Series runs 230 V / 30 amp standard, friendlier for retrofit installs. The E-Series requires 60-amp service
  • Want a cross-training-focused current with variable resistance, see the X-Series (SwimCross®)
  • Need a compact 12-foot footprint, the smallest E-Series is 15 feet (E500, E550). The R-Series goes down to 12 feet
  • Prefer a hot-tub-only experience without swim function, Seven Seas carries Hot Spring Spas and Caldera Spas for traditional hot-tub installations

Defining Technologies

Hydrodrive™ Technology is the E-Series signature swim current, an exceptionally smooth, premium current built for swimmers of all levels, turbulence-free across the full pace range for uninterrupted swim-in-place training. Specifications across the series:

  • Maximum pace: 1:08 per 100 yards (1:11 per 100 meters), competitive lap pace
  • Pace settings: 31 on the E500; 116 on the E550, E700, and E2000
  • Current character: Smooth, adjustable, holds swimmer in place, engineered for swim-in-place lap training without flip turns
  • Drive system: Powered by a dedicated swim pump (5 HP on the E500)

The 31-to-116-step adjustability is the practical headline, it lets a beginner swimmer set a slow, glide-paced current and a competitive swimmer crank it up to 1:08 race-pace effort, all in the same spa.

E-Series swim spas are built on a 14-gauge galvanized steel frame with an ABS base pan. The galvanized steel frame is the structural-durability upgrade over the wood frame used on the R-Series, meaningful on a 15-to-20-foot tank carrying up to ~2,400 gallons of water filled.

Every E-Series model offers an Underwater Treadmill as an optional configuration installed in the swim zone. The treadmill makes low-impact workouts both engaging and challenging, swimmers walk or run on a submerged belt while the swim current adjusts to match pace. The treadmill is a configuration choice made at order; field-retrofit options vary.

The E-Series ships with UVC + CD Ozone (Dual-layer protection) as the standard sanitization platform on the E500 and equivalents, UV-C light sterilization paired with corona-discharge ozone, both targeting waterborne contaminants without daily manual chlorine dosing.

The 20-foot E2000 flagship uses a 2-Zone Temperature Control dual-tank architecture. Swim, run, or exercise in temperate 85-degree water in the front, then unwind at 104 degrees in the spa zone at the back, a 5-foot spa zone at hot-tub temperature running simultaneously with a 15-foot swim zone at temperate fitness temperature. Effectively a lap pool and a hot tub in the same footprint at the same time.

Every E-Series model ships with a 4,000 W / 230 V heater sized for year-round operation in U.S. climates and a GFCI sub-panel mounted with the spa to meet residential electrical code at install time.

E-Series Compared to Other Endless Pools Series

The E-Series sits at the top of the Endless Pools tier ladder. The other two series each tune around a different swim-current technology and target a different buyer.

E-Series vs R-Series

E-Series compared to the R-Series

The R-Series is the value tier, three models (R200, R220, R500) built around RecSport® Technology, a wood frame with molded acrylic shell, and 230 V / 30 amp standard electrical service (60 amp optional). RecSport® is a smooth, adjustable jetted current tuned for fun, all-level fitness, and uninterrupted recreational swims, recreation- and family-focused rather than the premium Hydrodrive™ adjustable current. R-Series footprints span 12' (R200, R220) to 15' (R500), with the R220 carrying the highest jet count in the current Endless Pools swim-spa lineup. If you want a friendlier electrical install, a more recreational positioning, and a lower entry price start at the R-Series. If you want Hydrodrive™ pace ceiling, galvanized steel frame, and an optional Underwater Treadmill on every model step up to the E-Series.

E-Series vs X-Series

E-Series compared to the X-Series

The X-Series is the cross-training-focused mid tier, two models (X500, X2000) built around SwimCross® Technology. SwimCross® is a smooth, adjustable swim current with variable-resistance cross-training emphasis. The X500 is the 15-foot compact at this tier; the X2000 is the 20-foot dual-temperature flagship, a fitness-focused front swim zone paired with a hot-tub-temperature spa zone at the back. If you want the X-Series cross-training current pattern, a fitness-focused positioning, and a price point below the E-Series choose the X-Series. If you want Hydrodrive™ pace ceiling, the widest model selection (4 vs 2), and the option of the wider 94" E550 standing-room configuration step up to the E-Series.

E-Series Compared to Hot Tubs

E-Series swim spa compared to a traditional hot tub

A swim spa is a different category of product from a hot tub. The E-Series pairs an adjustable swim current with a spa zone in a single 15-to-20-foot footprint. A hot tub is a hydrotherapy-only spa, typically 7-foot footprint, 30-to-50-amp electrical service, hot-soak temperatures throughout, and no swim function. If you're cross-shopping the categories are choosing between swim-plus-spa in one larger installation and a smaller, simpler hydrotherapy-only soak. Seven Seas carries both, the Hot Spring Spas and Caldera Spas lineups handle the traditional hot tub category, both made by the same Watkins Wellness parent in Vista, California. Visit a showroom to compare side-by-side.

Ready to compare the E-Series in person?

The E-Series is sold and serviced through Seven Seas Pools & Spas. Call ahead or stop by your local showroom to confirm current showroom availability. Visiting a showroom is the fastest way to feel the Hydrodrive™ current at multiple pace settings, sit in the hydromassage seats, evaluate both Alpine White and Ice Gray shell finishes in person, and (where on display) walk the optional Underwater Treadmill. Call or visit your local Seven Seas Pools & Spas location to schedule a private wet-test soak appointment with the models currently on the floor. Seven Seas advisors can also walk through site-prep, electrical-coordination, and delivery logistics during the same visit.

Buying Considerations for the E-Series

The E-Series ranges from 15 feet (E500, E550) up to 20 feet (E2000). Confirm site length, gate clearance, pathway width, and final placement before order. A level reinforced concrete pad rated for the filled weight (or a deck engineered to the same load) is required, plus service clearance on at least one side for equipment access. The Seven Seas team handles a site assessment as part of the installation service.

Every E-Series model is 230 V / 60 amp / 60 Hz with a GFCI sub-panel included. The 60-amp service supports the 5 HP swim pump (E500) plus the 4 kW heater plus the hydromassage jets running together. A licensed electrician install is required, Seven Seas coordinates the wiring run during the site assessment.

Swim spas at this scale often require a crane drop or a clear straight-line delivery path. The E2000 at 20 feet long is the largest delivery profile in the Endless Pools lineup. The Seven Seas delivery service coordinates the logistics.

Underwater Treadmill (Yes / No), shell color (Alpine White / Ice Gray), and cabinet color (Mocha / Gray) are configuration choices made at order. Field-retrofit options for the treadmill vary, Seven Seas walks every buyer through the configuration decision before the order is placed.

The E500 ships with UVC + CD Ozone (Dual-layer protection). APSP 14 and CEC certifications appear on the E-Series product pages. Filter cleaning runs on a monthly cadence, see the swim spa filter care guide in the owners area.

Indoor E-Series installations are supported with proper ventilation and drainage, see the swim-spa indoor installation guide for full requirements: moisture-resistant floor structure rated for the filled weight, active humidity ventilation, an electrician-approved 60-amp feed, and code-compliant drainage.

Maintenance and Ownership

Owners benefit from the Seven Seas owners area, the post-purchase content hub covering water care, filter care, seasonal routines, and troubleshooting for swim-spa owners specifically. E-Series-specific maintenance touchpoints:

  • UVC + CD Ozone cycle. UV-C light handles waterborne bacteria as water passes through the system; corona-discharge ozone provides a secondary oxidation layer. Routine sanitizer dosing is reduced (not eliminated) by the UVC + Ozone stack.
  • Winterizing. The swim-spa winterizing guide covers cold-weather considerations for households who choose to drain seasonally.
  • Filter care. Monthly cleaning of the cartridge filter, see the swim spa filter care guide.
  • Cover care. Standard cover ships with the spa; cover-lifter accessories vary by model.
  • Drain and refill. Swim-spa drain-and-refill intervals are typically every 3-6 months depending on use intensity. The E-Series volume range (1,735 gal on the E500 with treadmill up to ~2,400 gal on the E2000 swim zone) means drain-and-refill is a longer process than for a hot tub, Seven Seas walks every owner through the schedule during the post-delivery handoff.

For ongoing professional care, Seven Seas offers the swim spa water care service, periodic drain-and-refill, balance check, and filter replacement carried out by trained technicians.

Frequently Asked Questions

Four things together: the Hydrodrive™ premium swim current with up to 116 pace settings and a 1:08-per-100-yards max pace; the 14-gauge galvanized steel frame (vs the wood frame on the value-tier R-Series); the optional Underwater Treadmill on every model; and the 2-Zone Temperature Control dual-tank architecture available on the E2000 flagship. No other Endless Pools tier ships with all four.

Four: E500 (15' compact), E550 (15' wider beam, standing-room), E700 (17' longer swim zone), and E2000 (20' dual-temperature flagship).

The E500 uses Hydrodrive™ with 31 pace settings. The E550, E700, and E2000 use Hydrodrive™ with 116 pace settings. Both versions max out at 1:08 per 100 yards (1:11 per 100 meters), the difference is the granularity of pace adjustment between zero and the top end. Practically speaking, both versions are turbulence-free and hold a swimmer in place for uninterrupted laps.

The E2000 is the dual-temperature flagship. Swim, run, or exercise in temperate 85-degree water in the front, then unwind at 104 degrees in the spa zone at the back. The 5-foot spa zone (350 gallons) and the 15-foot swim zone (~2,000 gallons) run at independent temperatures simultaneously through a divided tank.

Yes, the Underwater Treadmill is an optional configuration on every E-Series model. The treadmill installs in the swim zone during manufacturing, it's a configuration choice made at order rather than a field-retrofit add-on. Ask your Seven Seas advisor about adding the treadmill to your order before it goes to production.

Every E-Series model runs on 230 V / 60 amp / 60 Hz service with a GFCI sub-panel included. The 60-amp service is required to support the 5 HP swim pump plus the 4 kW heater plus the hydromassage jets concurrently. The R-Series runs on a friendlier 230 V / 30 amp standard (60 amp optional), relevant if your retrofit electrical service is constrained.

Yes, the E-Series product pages confirm APSP 14 (Association of Pool & Spa Professionals' portable spa energy efficiency standard) and California Energy Commission (CEC) compliance. The thermal package, galvanized steel frame, multi-layer insulation, and the standard cover, is engineered for year-round outdoor operation.

Yes, with proper ventilation and drainage. Indoor swim-spa installations require a moisture-resistant floor structure rated for the filled weight, active humidity ventilation (swim spas evaporate more water than hot tubs), an electrician-approved 230 V / 60 amp feed, and code-compliant drainage. See the swim-spa indoor installation guide for full requirements.

The E-Series is the premium tier with the Hydrodrive™ current platform and the galvanized steel frame. The R-Series is the value tier with the RecSport® current and a wood frame, friendlier electrical at 30 amp standard, lower entry price, more recreational positioning. The X-Series is the cross-training-focused mid tier with the SwimCross® current, variable-resistance training, two models including the X2000 dual-temperature flagship.

Endless Pools does not publish a single consolidated warranty page on its manufacturer site, coverage terms appear on individual product pages and warranty documents at the time of order. Seven Seas walks every E-Series buyer through the current warranty document for the specific model and configuration at the time of sale and processes warranty claims locally for spas sold from our locations.

Endless Pools is headquartered at 1601 Dutton Mill Road, Aston, Pennsylvania, part of Watkins Wellness, a MASCO company. The Watkins Wellness parent is based in Vista, California, where sister brands Hot Spring Spas and Caldera Spas are also manufactured.
