Nowak Zero Entry Fiberglass Pool

The Zero Entry is the beach-entry rectangular pool in the Nowak Fiberglass Pools lineup. 40' × 16' outside dimensions (41' × 18' dig), with a true zero-depth beach entry that starts at 4 inches of water at the entry corner, runs up to 17 inches at the wading shelf, and steps down through 3'7" mid-floor to a 6'3" deep end. It is the only Nowak shell with a beach (zero-depth) entry, and one of a very small number of one-piece fiberglass shells in the broader industry that offer one. Available in all current Nowak gelcoat finishes. Seven Seas Pools & Spas builds and services the Zero Entry across our service area.

What makes the Zero Entry distinct: it is the only one-piece fiberglass shell in the Nowak lineup with a true zero-depth beach entry. A zero-entry pool walks in from the deck the same way a beach walks into the ocean: no step, no ladder, no transition. The floor starts at deck level and slopes gently into water.

Who the Zero Entry Is Built For

The Zero Entry fits you if you want:
  • The beach-entry experience: walk into water at zero inches and slope gradually deeper.
  • A wading shelf at 17 inches for chair-on-the-shelf lounging or for toddlers.
  • A real swim zone behind the beach at 3'7" to 6'3" deep.
  • A pool that reads as a beach-plus-swim-hole rather than as a single architectural pool object.
  • Universal accessibility: a beach entry is the most accessible pool entry available, for older adults, for kids learning to swim, and for any user who finds a traditional ladder or stair entry difficult.
It's a less efficient match if you want:
  • Maximum usable swim floor length. The 10'6" beach entry zone is great for lounging but is not swim water. The full-size swim floor is 24'6". If you want the longest swim floor in the Nowak lineup, the Grand Atlantis gives you 30 feet.
  • A more compact footprint. The Zero Entry's 41' × 18' dig requires a real yard. The Atlantis (34' × 16' dig) and the Little Lounger are the compact alternatives.
  • A freeform look. The Zero Entry is rectangular. The Aruba or Jupiter Island are the freeform alternatives.

The Beach Entry Detail

The beach-entry zone takes up the first 10'6" of pool length. The depth profile across that 10'6" runs:

  • 0 to ~5 feet from the entry corner: 4 inches of water. Wading depth. Sit on the deck edge and put your feet in; lay a beach towel on the warm slope.
  • 5 to ~10'6" from the entry corner: rises to 17 inches on a gentle slope. Knee-to-thigh depth for an adult. The 17-inch shelf is wide enough to hold a partially-submerged lounge chair or a child playing in shallow water.

The beach entry then transitions through a 3-foot stair zone down to the main swim floor at 3'7", which slopes to 6'3" at the deep wall across 24'6".

The beach-entry surface uses the standard Nowak gelcoat with the 2025 granite-chip backing. The slope is slip-resistant by gelcoat texture; in practice the beach-entry zone is one of the most usable parts of the pool for toddlers, older adults, and anyone who wants to relax in inches of warm water rather than swim laps.

Gelcoat Finish Options

The 2025 surface upgrade applies: non-pigmented gelcoat with granite-chip backing for chemical and UV resistance. The Zero Entry reads especially well in lighter finishes (Heavenly Blue Mist) because the shallow beach-entry water amplifies the gelcoat color the most where the water is shallowest.

Why Zero Entry, and Why a Fiberglass Beach Entry

Most beach-entry pools in the broader market are concrete custom builds. A concrete pool can be shaped to any slope, which makes beach entries straightforward to design and pour. Fiberglass beach entries are rare because the slope has to be molded into the one-piece shell at the factory, which costs the manufacturer a dedicated mold. Nowak built the Zero Entry mold specifically because the family wanted the beach-entry experience available in their fiberglass lineup without forcing you into a concrete project.

The trade-offs of getting a beach entry in a fiberglass shell rather than concrete:

  • Faster install. Fiberglass installs in about two weeks; a concrete beach-entry pool runs three-to-six months.
  • Lower lifetime maintenance. Gelcoat is inert; concrete is porous and reactive.
  • Fixed dimensions. The beach entry profile is what Nowak molded it as. A concrete beach can be shaped to any slope; the Zero Entry beach is a 10'6" slope with the specific depth points above.
Why Zero Entry

For most yards that want a beach entry without committing to a full concrete project, the Zero Entry is the right path.

Zero Entry vs. Other Nowak Models

Zero Entry vs. Grand Atlantis

Zero Entry vs. Grand Atlantis

Both are 40' × 16' or larger. Grand Atlantis uses the full length for swim floor (30 feet) with molded entry steps; Zero Entry uses 10'6" for the beach entry and 24'6" for swim floor. Pick Grand Atlantis if maximum swim floor matters; pick Zero Entry for the beach experience.

Zero Entry vs. Atlantis

Zero Entry vs. Atlantis

Both are rectangular. Zero Entry is larger (41' × 18' dig vs. 34' × 16' dig) and has the beach entry. Atlantis has a traditional 5'6" molded stair entry.

Zero Entry vs. a concrete beach-entry pool

Zero Entry vs. Concrete Beach Entry

The Nowak Zero Entry is fixed to its molded shape; a concrete beach-entry pool is fully custom. The fiberglass install is faster (two weeks vs. three-to-six months) and the gelcoat surface is lower-maintenance. If the molded slope works for your use case, Zero Entry is the better path.

Common Questions

4 inches at the entry corner. Below ankle depth at the shallowest. Plenty of room to wade in or lay out a beach towel on the warm slope.

A beach entry is the most accessible pool entry available. Specific accessibility for wheelchair users depends on the user's mobility and on any decking-side handrails or transfer aids you add. Talk to Seven Seas during the consultation about accessibility specifics for your situation.

The standard Nowak gelcoat is slip-resistant by texture. With the 2025 granite-chip backing, the slope has additional texture. In practice the beach entry is one of the safest parts of the pool to walk on.

24'6" between the beach-entry stair zone and the deep wall. Enough for casual lap swim; not as long as the Grand Atlantis (30 feet) but the trade is the beach.

6'3" at the deep wall. Enough for casual jumps and deeper-water play; not enough for a residential diving board under most codes.

The 17-inch wading shelf already serves the shallow-lounging function. A separate molded tanning ledge is not part of the Zero Entry shell.

About two weeks start to finish on a typical Seven Seas Nowak install. The Zero Entry's larger surround decking can push the decking phase slightly compared to a smaller shell.
