What makes the Aruba distinct: it is the freeform Nowak with the deepest deep end at 6 feet. The Subdivision tops at 6' as well but in a smaller 33' × 13' footprint. The Play Pool tops at 5'10". The Aruba combines a real 6' deep end with the curvy freeform shape, which is the right answer when you want a freeform look but don't want to give up the deeper deep end.

Who the Aruba Is Built For

The Aruba fits you if you want:
  • A freeform pool with curves rather than corners.
  • A real 6-foot deep end that supports diving from the edge and underwater play.
  • Built-in bench seating for in-water cool-down.
  • The full 31 feet of floor for casual lap swim.
  • A pool that reads as part of the landscape rather than as a hard architectural object.
It's a less efficient match if you want:
  • A rectangular look. Look at the Atlantis or Grand Atlantis.
  • An integrated tanning ledge. The Jupiter Island TL (tanning ledge variant) is the Nowak freeform with a ledge.
  • A beach entry. The Zero Entry is the only Nowak with a true beach.
  • A compact plunge. The Little Lounger is the small-yard answer.
  • Auto-cover compatibility. None of the Nowak freeform shells are auto-cover ready.

Depth Profile and Floor Layout

The Aruba depth chart runs:

  • Shallow end: 3' with stair entry above coping height.
  • Mid floor: 4'7" across the long center span.
  • Deep end: 6' at the far end of the 31-foot floor run.

The transition from shallow to deep is a gentle slope across the full 31 feet of floor, not a sharp step-down. The bench seating sits at a depth comfortable for in-water seated cool-down (chest-height for an average adult).

A 6-foot deep end is enough for: casual jumps from the deck, underwater swim drills, retrieval games, deeper-water play. It is not enough for residential diving boards under most codes; if a diving board is non-negotiable, fiberglass is generally not the right construction method.

Gelcoat Finish Options

The Aruba is available in all current Nowak gelcoat finishes:

The 2025 surface upgrade applies: the gelcoat is non-pigmented with a granite-chip backing for chemical and UV resistance. The curvy freeform shape of the Aruba reads especially well in the lighter Heavenly Blue Mist, which keeps the curves bright in sunlight, or in Gray Ocean Mist for a more contemporary landscape look.

Aruba vs. Other Nowak Models

Aruba vs. Jupiter Island

Aruba vs. Jupiter Island

Both are 34' × 14' freeform Nowak shells. Aruba has a deeper deep end (6' vs. Jupiter Island's roughly 4'6" main depth) and built-in bench seating; Jupiter Island has a peanut-style curve language and offers a tanning ledge variant. Pick Aruba if you want depth; pick Jupiter Island if you want the peanut shape or a tanning ledge.

Aruba vs. Play Pool

Aruba vs. Play Pool

Both are freeform with a similar size footprint. Aruba reaches 6' deep; Play Pool reaches 5'10". Use the curve language and the floor layout to drive the choice, not the depth (the difference is two inches).

Aruba vs. Subdivision

Aruba vs. Subdivision

Both reach 6' deep. Aruba is 34' × 14' (larger); Subdivision is 33' × 13' (slightly smaller). Pick Aruba for a slightly bigger floor; pick Subdivision if a foot of length or width matters for the yard fit.

Aruba vs. Atlantis

Aruba vs. Atlantis

Both are around 32-34' × 14'. Aruba is freeform; Atlantis is rectangular with molded entry steps. Pick Aruba for the freeform look; pick Atlantis for the rectangular look with entry steps.

Ready to build the Nowak Aruba?

The Aruba pairs a curvy freeform shape with a real 6-foot deep end, making it one of the most versatile shells in the Nowak lineup. Seven Seas Pools & Spas can walk you through the gelcoat color options, confirm the dig specs for your yard, and map out the decking and equipment details before your project moves forward.

Common Questions

Casual jumps from the edge are fine. A residential diving board typically requires more deep-end depth than 6 feet provides under most codes. If a board is required, talk to Seven Seas during the consultation about the alternatives.

The bench is molded into one curve of the shell at chest-height-for-an-average-adult depth. The exact placement is in the dig diagram; we walk through the layout during the consultation.

No, the Aruba shell is molded without a tanning ledge. If a ledge is required, the Jupiter Island TL is the Nowak freeform with a built-in ledge.

Nowak's warranty position is that salt is not recommended on the gelcoat. Traditional chlorine sanitization is the recommended path. See the Nowak brand page for the full warranty context.

The 31-foot floor length gives you a usable swim distance close to 30 feet between the steps and the deep-end wall. That is enough for casual lap swim; for dedicated training, an Endless Pools swim spa is the better appliance.

A typical Seven Seas Nowak install runs about two weeks start to finish for the shell, the electric, and the concrete decking. Weather and site access can push the timeline.
