E500 Swim Spa

E-Series Swim Spas by Endless Pools

The E500 is the most compact swim spa in the E-Series from Endless Pools, the swim-spa specialist brand within the Watkins Wellness family. Measuring 15 feet long with a 48-inch swim depth, the E500 pairs the Hydrodrive™ adjustable swim current (31 pace settings, max pace 1:08 per 100 yards) with three contoured hydromassage seats and 27 jets, a single-tank swim spa that handles swim, workout, and recovery in one footprint, and the smallest E-Series shell that still carries the full Hydrodrive™ adjustable current. Two configurations are offered: standard swim, or swim with the optional Underwater Treadmill for low-impact walking and running workouts. Seven Seas Pools & Spas carries the full E-Series lineup, call ahead or stop by your local showroom to confirm what's currently on display, book a private soak appointment to feel the current in person.

Who the E500 Is Built For

The E500 fits households that want a single-tank swim spa with a serious adjustable current but without committing to the larger 17-foot E700 or the dual-temperature 20-foot E2000. It's the most compact swim spa in the lineup that still carries the full Hydrodrive™ adjustable current, the same swim machine the bigger E-Series spas use, just in a 15-foot package that fits more backyards. The 48-inch swim depth supports proper swim form (most lap swimmers want at least 42-48 inches to avoid stroking the bottom). The three hydromassage seats handle post-workout recovery for a small family. The optional Underwater Treadmill turns the same spa into a low-impact cardio machine if you're focused on walking workouts, joint-friendly running, or rehab.

It is not the right swim spa for households who:
  • Need separate swim and spa zones at different temperatures, see the dual-temperature E2000 or the X2000 for a different drivetrain
  • Want a longer swim zone, the E700 adds 2 feet (17' total)
  • Need wider swim coverage, the E550 is the same 15' length with a wider 94" beam
  • Want a recreation- or training-focused swim spa at a different price tier, see the R-Series (RecSport®) or X-Series (SwimCross®)
  • Prefer a hot-tub-only experience without swim function, Seven Seas carries Caldera Spas and Hot Spring Spas for traditional hot tub installations

The base E500 includes three hydromassage seats, the Hydrodrive™ adjustable swim current, 27 jets, and an open swim zone for lap swimming, freestyle exercise, water-aerobic workouts, and family pool-style use.

The same E500 can be ordered with the Underwater Treadmill installed in the swim zone, adding a low-impact workout option for water walking, water running, joint-friendly rehab, and training rotation work.

Endless Pools does not publish a single warranty page on the E500 product page. Seven Seas walks every E500 buyer through the current Endless Pools warranty document at the time of sale, the structure typically includes a multi-year shell warranty plus shorter terms on components and labor. Ask for the latest warranty PDF when you visit a showroom.

Variants and Configuration Options

The E500 is offered in two configurations, same shell, same swim current, same hydromassage seats, with the difference being whether the Underwater Treadmill is installed in the swim zone.

E500 Swim standard configuration

E500 Swim (Standard Configuration)

The base E500. Three hydromassage seats, the Hydrodrive™ adjustable swim current, 27 jets, and an open swim zone for lap swimming, freestyle exercise, and water-aerobic workouts. This is the right configuration if you're focused on swimming, freestyle exercise, and family pool-style use.

E500 Swim with Underwater Treadmill

E500 Swim + Underwater Treadmill (Optional Configuration)

The same E500 with the Underwater Treadmill installed in the swim zone, a low-impact workout option for households managing joint or knee strain, or for athletes adding water-walking and water-running into a training rotation. You walk or run on a submerged belt while the swim current adjusts to match pace. The treadmill adds approximately 125 pounds of dry weight and slightly displaces water capacity (1,735 vs 1,770 gallons). Functionally, the spa still supports swim laps when the treadmill is not in use; the treadmill is a dual-purpose addition rather than a replacement of swim function.

See if the E500 fits your space

Review the 15-foot footprint, Hydrodrive™ current, optional treadmill, and delivery requirements with a Seven Seas advisor.

The E500 Swim Spa Experience

Sessions in the E500 follow a three-zone rhythm: swim (current on, treadmill off, swimming laps or doing freestyle drills against the adjustable Hydrodrive™ current); workout (current on, treadmill engaged on the optional configuration, walking or jogging the underwater belt at matched pace); and recover (current off, hydromassage seats engaged, soaking in the contoured 3-seat zone with 27 jets across neck-to-feet coverage). Swim, work out, recover, all in the same shell.

The E500 Swim Spa Experience

Because the E500 is a single-tank spa (the entire 1,770-gallon volume runs at one temperature), if you want your swim zone cooler than a soak temperature should evaluate the E2000 dual-temperature option. That spa runs the swim zone at about 85°F and the spa zone at 104°F simultaneously through a divided tank.

How the E500 Compares to Other Endless Pools Series

Endless Pools structures its lineup around three series, each tuned to a different swimming style.

E-Series Swim Spas

E-Series, Hydrodrive™ Technology adjustable current. The E500 lives here. Best for serious lap swimmers and households that want adjustable pace control across a wide range of swim abilities.

View E-Series Swim Spas
R-Series Swim Spas

R-Series, RecSport®, recreation- and sport-focused. Smaller footprint, wood frame with thermoformed ABS base pan, simpler current system. Best for recreational swim, kids' play, and lighter exercise.

View R-Series Swim Spas
X-Series Swim Spas

X-Series, SwimCross®, cross-training focused. Twin 2.5 HP pump architecture, generally similar footprint to E-Series. Best if you want a cross-trainer current emphasizing aerobic workouts.

View X-Series Swim Spas

If you're cross-shopping the traditional hot tub category instead of swim spas, Seven Seas also carries the Caldera Spas and Hot Spring Spas lineups, both Watkins Wellness brands focused on hydrotherapy without the swim function. The team can walk you through swim-spa-vs-hot-tub at any showroom.

Ready for a private E500 wet test?

The E500 is part of the lineup carried by Seven Seas Pools & Spas. Call ahead or stop by your local showroom to confirm current showroom availability. Visiting a showroom is the fastest way to feel the Hydrodrive™ current at multiple pace settings, sit in the hydromassage seats, see both the Alpine White and Ice Gray shell finishes in person, and (where on display) walk the optional Underwater Treadmill.

Installation and Delivery

The E500 requires a 230 V / 60 amp / 60 Hz circuit wired to a GFCI sub-panel, the sub-panel ships with the spa.

Site requirements:

Installation and Delivery
  • Level reinforced concrete pad rated for 19,400 lbs filled (or higher with the treadmill option), or a deck engineered for the same load

  • Service clearance on at least one side for equipment access

  • 15-foot minimum length for the spa shell, plus delivery / craning clearance

Seven Seas Pools & Spas coordinates the full delivery and installation flow: site assessment, electrical coordination with a licensed electrician, delivery scheduling, GFCI sub-panel mounting, post-fill water balancing, and a hands-on walkthrough of the Hydrodrive™ controls. Swim spas are heavier and longer than hot tubs, most installations need a craning service or a clear straight-line delivery path. The Seven Seas team handles the logistics so the buyer doesn't have to.

Water Care and Ongoing Maintenance

The UVC + CD Ozone Dual-layer sanitization keeps weekly water-care simple. UV-C light handles waterborne bacteria as water passes through the system; corona-discharge ozone provides a secondary oxidation layer. The system is APSP 14 compliant and CEC certified for energy efficiency.

Filter cleaning runs on a monthly cadence for the 200 sq. ft. cartridge, see the swim spa filter care guide in the owners area. Endless Pools recommends a full drain-and-refill on the standard swim-spa cycle (typically every 3-6 months depending on use intensity); Seven Seas walks every owner through the schedule during the post-delivery handoff.

Frequently Asked Questions

This is a configuration choice made at order. The treadmill installs in the swim zone during manufacturing. Ask your Seven Seas advisor about adding the treadmill to your order before delivery; field-retrofit options vary and a Seven Seas advisor can walk through current possibilities.

The Hydrodrive™ Technology system is rated for a maximum pace of 1:08 per 100 yards (1:11 per 100 meters), with 31 adjustable pace settings between zero and the maximum. That's competitive lap pace, slow enough for a beginner, fast enough for a serious swimmer.

No, the E500's standard electrical service is 230 V / 60 amp. The 60-amp service is required to run the 5 HP swim pump plus the 4 kW heater plus the hydromassage jets concurrently. The R-Series (R200, R220, R500) starts at 230 V / 30 amp because it uses a smaller 2.5 HP pump.

Both are 15-foot E-Series spas with the same Hydrodrive™ swim current. The E550 is wider (94" vs 89"), with a different seat and standing-room layout positioned for vigorous workout movement. The E500 is the narrower, more lap-swim-focused configuration. Visit a Seven Seas showroom to compare side-by-side.

Yes. The 4,000 W / 230 V heater is sized for year-round operation in U.S. climates. The 14-gauge galvanized steel frame and durable all-season cabinet are engineered for outdoor installation. Ask a Seven Seas advisor for an operating-cost estimate based on your climate zone.

The E2000 is a dual-temperature, dual-tank spa: a 5-foot spa zone at hot-tub temperature plus a 15-foot swim zone at swimming temperature, running simultaneously through the same 20-foot shell. The E500 is a single-tank spa at one temperature, simpler installation, lower volume, and a more compact footprint.

Yes. The E500 is sold and serviced through Seven Seas Pools & Spas. Call ahead or stop by your local location to see whether the E500 is currently on display and to book a private wet-test soak appointment, feel the Hydrodrive™ current, sit in the hydromassage seats, and walk the underwater belt where the optional treadmill is on display.

Standard E500 delivery from Seven Seas runs 6-12 weeks from order, depending on current Endless Pools production lead times, configuration (swim vs swim+treadmill), and the cabinet color combination. Inventory in stock at Seven Seas locations can ship faster.

Yes, with proper ventilation and drainage. Indoor swim-spa installations require an electrician-approved 230 V / 60 amp feed, a moisture-resistant floor structure rated for 19,400+ lbs filled, active humidity ventilation, and code-compliant drainage. See the swim-spa indoor installation guide for full requirements.
